The latest string of team line-up announcements can be linked to the impending opening round of the Maxxis FIM SuperEnduro World Championship at the Tauron Arena in Krakow (Poland). And today, it is Gas Gas who reveal their newest signing for this discipline: Danny MCCANNEY (GB)!
After two years out to focus on EnduroGP, Danny MCCANNEY is back in SuperEnduro, this time with Gas Gas, the same team he won the first ever Junior World Champion title with back in 2013. In the Top 10 of the Prestige category for his last season in SuperEnduro, the rider from the Isle of Man joins Alex SALVINI (I – Beta), Victor and Cristobal GUERRERO (E – Yamaha) and Matteo CAVALLO (I – Beta) as part of a strong contingent of EnduroGP specialists facing the stars of SuperEnduro in 2018.
Danny MCCANNEY: “First of all, I’m very happy to be back at Gas Gas. I really want to thank Giovanni SALA and the company as a whole for offering me this chance to “return home”, and also for giving me the opportunity to ride in SuperEnduro alongside my EnduroGP programme! I have always enjoyed this discipline!”
The starting grid will be overloaded with talent this season, to the delight of fans, spectators and viewers alike. With so many top riders in the field, every great result will be hard earned – and this should offer us breathtaking races! We don’t know about you, but we cannot wait to be in the Tauron Arena in Krakow on Saturday December 9th!
