The extreme enduro driver extends his contract until the end of the 2020 season
Winning the first two major Extreme Enduro events of the 2018 season, Alestrem and Hells Gate, Mario Román began the year hard with the handlebar of the Factory Sherco 300 SE. As if that were not enough, the Spanish driver won the Battle of the Vikings in Sweden, for the second year in a row, along with the two main Hard Enduro of the peninsula, the Gordexola and Hixpania.
Mario likes to travel, especially to South America, where in 2018 he won the Red Bull Los Andes (Chile), and more recently he won the crown in the famous Ukupacha Extreme, in Ecuador.
It is clear that Román is one of the main Extreme Enduro riders. Always a contender for victory, will seek to add podiums (at least) next season in major international events such as Romaniacs, Erzbergrodeo and XL Lagares, where it must be said that bad luck prevented the Spanish obtained better results in 2018.
Mario Román Mario is also an ambassador for Sherco. He runs training schools in many parts of the world and works very closely with the factory: “I am very proud and happy to have renewed with Sherco, our relationship is very good, we are constantly growing and improving together”.
“I want to continue to bring good results to the team and continue with the training schools we have started with our importers, I look forward to January 18 for the launch of the season at Alestrem.”
“It’s a pleasure to announce the renovation with Mario,” says Team Manager, Jordan Curvalle. “He will be with us for the next two seasons, he has brought us many successes and we will continue working to continue this dynamic.” Mario has just finished a long season with 8 victories, but 2019 is almost here with Alestrem, where he will have to defend the plate number 1! “J.
