Machete Hard Enduro: Wade Young Leads the first day in the jungle

Wade Young takes the first day of the jungle race and leads with one day left to conclude the Caribbean competition. The prologue of sand and rum barrels brought together close to 3,000 fans. The first day of the Dominican jungle, with 35 degrees heat, was an extreme fight for riders.

Wade Young (Sherco) won the first day of the race in the Dominican jungle. The race began in the middle of the beach in Cabarete (Dominican Republic) and ended in the tropical forest of Sosúa, near the city of Puerto Plata. 150 riders gathered at the beach where they kept a high pace until the end of their first lap when the weather and terrain conditions started to take their toll. Manuel Lettenbichler (KTM) led until the South African, Young overtook him in the last lap. The third position was held by the Brit Graham Jarvis (Husqvarna).

The nocturnal prologue, also on the beach, brought together about 3,000 fans ready to cheer on their idols. It was an unprecedented show in the Dominican Republic in which Billy Bolt (Husqvarna) climbed to the top of the podium ahead of the American Cody Webb (KTM) and the German Manuel Lettenbichler (KTM).
