Wow .the racing was mega close in all classes .

Elite . After an epic crash in Race 1 the battle was on for Luke Gorse going into the final race with Dan Boam taking 3 wins and leading up to Race 6 .The winner was to be decided on the final race and Luke Gorse took the win. Race 6 decided it by just 1 point ! In the Clubman Plus -our expert class, again some close action with club regular Josh Buckley taking the win and overall first rider home in Race 1.Aston Day then stamped his mark on the event taking all but one of the remaining 5 races Aaron Bloomfield winning Race 2. In the clubman Adam Senior took the win with a sporting Nathan Chandler starting off the back row .

Our only 85cc Bw rider was Archie Date obviously taking max points .nice one for entering Archie .

In the ladies Rachel Smith had a Race 1 adventure over the bars on the infinity jump which ruled her out for the following races leaving Hayley Rilings to take the ladies win .We hope you’ll return soon Rachel.

The Youth 12-16 class had some fast youngsters and James Palmer revelled in the new race format taking 6 wins from 6 starts closely followed by George Yardley, All three remaining riders had just 1 point splits for 3rd,4th and 5th .James Dover eventually taking 3rd .Excellent

The Vets are always close at our XC racing and the scramble was no different with Tom Griffiths and Mick Belcher swapping wins and Tom coming out the winner eventually with 4 out of the 6 to take it .Jason Frieberg took a well deserved 3rd place overall.

On to the more ‘experienced’ guys and the Masters .Taking a win from Race 1 and two 2nds in Race 2 & 3 Chris Day decided to take Boss’s advice and use the final log section to overtake a fellow rider -and subsequently had a rather massive off ,ending his day.We did say it was an ideal place to leap into the lead however Chris took the chance but didnt land his impressive leap as well as expected .get well soon mate. Again close racing with a fast field of ‘experienced’ racers. Joe Beard took the overall followed by Keith Patstone and following a recount we have a joint 3rd place of Greg Frieberg and James French .both on 131pts . The last race counts in the event of a tie however awards went out on the day so James French will also be given a 3rd place award .well done fellas .

Last but not least the Sportsman . With some big crashes in these races we wish all the riders a speedy recovery and hope you are not to ‘Scrambled’ namely the Sinclairs and our own Gary Curtis . Great racing here with Adam Carter shining through to take the overall through a packed field.

The Club took a bit of a risk with its new Scramble format aimed at both enduro and mx riders alike and it paid off. An outstanding 6 races took place over the bumpy field and hill of dreams at Chacombe with the feedback being absolutely outstanding . The track was set for around 8-10 minute laps with the clock cutting off at 20 minutes-all riders in after this time received minimum points but not a dnf . The flag was dropped at 30 minute intervals with one minute splits between each class/group so there was no real let up over the 3 hours and 6 races .

‘It was my most enjoyable event as a race director in a long time’- Boss ‘You should patent it -it was excellent’ -Ross Dover “Just brilliant’ -Alan King

And so the comments went on throughout the morning with the weather also playing a huge part in the proceedings.

Points got scored for each race per class with 30pts for the win, followed by 25pts 2nd.24pts 3rd,23pts 4th and so on.with all points to count towards the overall top 3 in each class .

All results are at racesplitter as usual and became live on the day after each race timed out .

Great fun and good fast action so look out for more in the not to distant future .

Enduroland “A big thank you to all the riders that came and gave it a go and as always to the staff.medical and catering without whom these events wouldnt happen”
