Since the beginning of the off-season, Beta Factory have been very quiet on the transfer market…until today. Rignano Sull’Arno’s firm have just announced the signing of the 2017 “Rookie of the Year”, Christophe CHARLIER (F), for the next two seasons!
The former MXGP rider joins EnduroGP World Champion Steve HOLCOMBE (GB) in the Tuscan firm, where the riders will aim to retain the World Champion Constructor title which Beta have held for two years. After a very interesting and successful first season in Enduro (Italian Champion, Winner of Six Days and MX of Nations, three podiums in EGP), CC23 received many proposals from teams, and he finally decided to join the Beta Factory… The Corsican will line-up with a 4-stroke RR, as announced by his new team manager Fabrizio DINI, but the cubic capacity has yet to be defined.
Christophe CHARLIER: “I am very happy to be part of an Italian team. I cannot wait to work with Fabrizio DINI and Lapo BIANCHI, who are very professional people. I hope to be able to perform well in every competition in 2018, whether in the World Championship, the Italian Championship, or in other races which Beta will want me to participate in.”
Fabrizio DINI: “We are really pleased to have Christophe signed and here with us. In his first season in the discipline he already proved that he has the technique and the talent to perform well, and he has progressed enormously. It is for these many reasons that we think we will be very competitive in 2018.”
While the winter season may have seemed calm for Beta Factory, Lapo BIANCHI and Fabrizio DINI have just made a big hit on the transfer market and the HOLCOMBE-CHARLIER team should be one of the most exciting in the 2018 paddock!
