In an effort to further improve his speed and expand his Enduro experience Billy Bolt entered the 2nd round of this popular Sprint championship which attracts almost all of the main BEC contenders . This would be Billy’s debut in the GBXC Sprint series and first event against the main players in the UK enduro scene, lets not forget he only switched from Trials to Hard Enduro at the end of December so his experience with special test style events is extremely limited !!
However as always Billy in his typical exciting style rose to the occasion and mixed it comfortably with the top 10 pro’s and on at least 2 occasions over the weekend he placed twice inside the top 3 !!! he is learning fast . Finishing the weekend in 2 nd overall both days for the E3 class on what was described a very challenging event with a superb old school cross-country test and a separate MX test.
Billy; “Another mega weekend of Enduro fun which I thoroughly enjoyed, Paul Edmondson had set out 2 very different and awesome tests, these types of stages are really new for me and i’m just trying to learn from the others and find my limits which I did on several occasions !! but I bounce well , although my bike took some big hits that kept my team busy with repairs !! ” Julian Stevens: “Very impressive ride from BB this weekend considering that we not only had the UK’s cream here but also some real World class guys , so to be getting a few very competitive tests times is really encouraging at such an early stage , you don’t accidentally go fast !! experience will bring consistency in the speed “
