Machete Hard Enduro has kicked off in the middle of Playa Dorada in Puerto Plata with a circuit of SuperEnduro format, thousands of people have supported the riders in a show that returns to set precedents in the Caribbean.
About 200 participants from different nations have taken the prologue to get a better start position in The Jungle Race, the ultimate race of tomorrow.
Manuel Lettenbichler (KTM) has imposed himself in a close fight between rum barrels, palm logs and rocks, with Jonny Walker (KTM), second and Wade Young (Sherco), third. The first heat was for Walker and the second for the young German rider who will undoubtedly be one of the men to beat on the international calendar.
For the second moto, the South African Young has gotten in-between the men of KTM and has made that Lettenbichler takes the victory.
Which means that tomorrow he will open track. The Jungle Race is the final test in which riders must give their all to take Machete Hard Enduro 2019. The race begins at Playa Dorada with a neutralized start. More than 20 intense kilometres by a river full of lagoons and several laps, with a total of seven hours.
