Jarvis takes the win again on day 3 with Gomez 2nd and Mario Roman 3rd; a great day for the Factory Husqvarna Team. After heavy rain in and around Sibiu the skies turned blue again for the riders at today’s start just 50 km south of the Romaniacs headquarters. Shortly after the start, the Gold and Silver riders were faced with “Aussiehill” – a steep and rocky uphill placed near a little creek in a picturesque valley outside of Balota. It’s all about building up speed on this very technical section.
Gold riders had to face a nasty downhill before they fire up their bikes at the “Freeride” – a long and very steep uphill. Czech youngster David Cyprian displayed his impressive skills in front of the spectators.

After a tough day, Billy Bolt prepared for the ride from the finish line back to the paddock. The heavens opened and with no waterproof jacket, he reached for a bin bag from the pasta van! He explained that the morning was tough physically and this afternoon it wasn’t so physical but was mentally challenging for him. “It was really tough to concentrate for the duration today!” he said.

Riders from today’s Bronze class were faced with the challenge of weather as well as terrain. Grassy single tracks became “greasy single tracks” after the rain and proved difficult to get traction on. Fog made visibility an issue and many riders were beginning to feel that endurance was one of the hardest factors in this race! Today’s battle was between Miroslav Culka (CZE), who was first through the finish and has dominated the top spot on all 3 of the Offroad days, and Toomas Triisa (EST), who won the prologue and has been making his presence known throughout the off road days. Matthias Saric (GER) finished in third today and Romanian rider Radu Sardarescu has been edging closer to the top each day finishing 4th today.
